The emphasis on the exclusive appeal of everything it creates is what best defines Toncelli, a company that has remained loyal to the Italian wood-working culture for 50 years and celebrated that with an exclusive collection of products. The Toncelli furniture is a sophisticated marriage between the old and the new, tradition and contemporary techniques, professionalism and beauty.

The Chef the Cuisine collection

Each collection is unique and brings something new to the market. The Chef the Cuisine series is the perfect example in this sense. The goal here was to bring technology and performance which are usually found in professional kitchen into the domestic environment. The series was designed in collaboration with 2 Michelin star owner Emanuele Scarello.

The series is composed of a Base unit which was designed to be integrated into any Toncelli model and a Tall unit. They each include elements such as an induction ho plate, teppanyaki, a wok, two chopping board, a variety of utensils, storage shelves, drawers and a pull-out top.

The Cocktail Tall Unit

This is one of the designs created to celebrate the company’s 50 years of business. They were all included in the Progetto 50 series. The Cocktail Tall Unit is, like everything else designed by Toncelli, a beautiful combination between innovation and tradition. Its two doors, when closed, depict a view of Manhattan.

The unit was designed using a combination of materials and finishes such as ebony, elm, maple, poplar wood, myrthe and walnut wood. The interior features leather-lined shelves filled with 18 customized glasses. The unit also contains utensils for preparing cocktails, an ice and a champagne bucket, a complete cocktail kit, a wine rack and a coffee maker. It can be used as both a built-in unit and as a free-standing structure.

The Cigar Tall Unit

This is another design included in the Progetto 50 series. Like the cocktail unit, this piece also depicts a custom image. Its doors showcase traditional Tuscan cigars and related elements and feature inlays made with veneers from 15 types of wood.

Reproductions of a liquor bottle, playing cards, a dice, a chess boards and chocolate can be seen on the doors. The unit also includes two humidors and a series of pull-out shelves and a basket with four customizable trays with glasses and a smoker’s kit. At the center of the cabinet there’s a storage space with a curved revolving door which was designed to hold bottles.

The Tea Tall Unit

Being able to function as either a built-in unit or a freestanding piece with steel feet, this elegant furniture piece features symmetrical doors decorated with different shaped wooden pieces that form a three dimensional puzzle. A series of small rectangular volumes give it a dynamic and sculptural look.

The interior of the unit integrates a pull-out table and a steel tray which collects hot water when making tea. The lower drawer is where different types of tea are stored. There’s also a secret compartment into the back panel which gives this piece a mysterious and interesting character.

The Essence unit

This is a very special piece and also the latest creation in 2016. The unit was designed using a material that’s 1000 years old: fossil beechwood. It was used in combination with titanium steel finishes and the result is a harmonious as well as unusual marriage between history and innovation.

The fossil beechwood was used in the door panels and the surface top and was treated so it doesn’t get damaged when cooking and doesn’t absorb water. The overall design is very simple and sculptural. The door panels are have clean lines and are integrated both vertically and horizontally.

The Essential unit

The monolithic and sculptural personality of this unit gives it a minimalistic look and allows it to stand out in a very elegant way. It was designed to resemble a parallelepiped with sharp edges and it integrates a cooking and a washing block. An automation system allows the island top to slide into place by simply pushing a button. When open, it reveals stainless steel counter areas.

The doors are entirely customizable. The unit is available in three versions. The elm wood model is defined by beautiful decorative veneers and warm hues, the leather model is hard-wearing and waterproof, featuring regenerated leather and the third version features the Noir Saint Laurent marble finish creates specially for Milan Design Week 2016.

The Wind unit

The name of this unit suggests a very lightweight and delicate design and that’s exactly how it can be best described. This is a design created with cement paste which allows it to include surfaces with minimal thickness. This means reduced weight and an overall lightweight appearance.

The cement surfaces were colored using natural pigments which allowed hues such as dove gray, beige or anthracite to be created. They’re sometimes used in combination with wood which creates an elegant contrast.

The retractable doors conceal all the appliances and allow the unit to have a clean-cut design. The top appears suspended over the base unit thanks to its 45 degree cut and is also made of concrete, revealing a seamless surface. The version with a french gray concrete finish was designed for Milan Design Week 2016.
