Shiny appliances and sleek kitchen designs may have been the main draw at EuroCucina in Milan, but Homedit also found an endless supply of kitchen lighting inspiration in the exhibits. Pendant lighting, kitchen island lighting and all sorts of chandeliers emphasized how important light fixtures are to creating the right mood.
The Aran Kitchen booth was fun thanks to the fanciful floral prints on the cabinets, but these colorful lantern pendants were really eye-catching.Alno displayed these basket-like cage pendant lights in a corner, which could be perfect for a kitchen nook. They also used larger versions as kitchen island lighting, which gives a sophisticated “shabby chic” look to the setting.A closer look shows the precisely woven kitchen lighting fixture.Alno used these island lighting fixtures made from circular bands of gold metal to lend a bit of shine to the neutral colored kitchen. The gleaming metal of the fixture is offset by the live edge base, an interesting addition to the otherwise modern kitchen design. It might be made of an understated natural wood, but this imposing kitchen island lighting fixture is most definitely the focal point of the room designed by Alno. Fixtures like these not only fulfill the functional purpose of providing adequate light for cooking, but also serve as a striking design element. The dark and jagged kitchen chandelier shown by Ar-Tre is a dramatic choice for kitchen lighting. The interior’s metallic finish only enhances the dark exterior and unusual shape. This trio of kitchen pendant lights shown by Ar-Tre demonstrates that they do not need to be the same size or be hung at the same height. The rustic, riveted copper pendants are different sizes, with the largest placed closest to the work surface for good illumination. The same mixed and staggered arrangement works with these kitchen lighting pendants in the Binova exhibit. The tinted blown glass gives off a very soft and cozy light. If shine and glitz are more your style, these pendants are used in a pair by Ar-Tre for kitchen island lighting. To make an artful statement, there’s nothing like a blown glass light fixture. These types of fixtures will work anywhere in your home, even for kitchen lighting. Arcari used this dramatic chandelier for one of its kitchens.Chandeliers are more frequently being used as kitchen island lighting fixtures. This one, shown by Arcari, is a unique mix of elements, such as the old-fashioned bulb shades, quirky glass bow accents and sleek, curved arms.Arrex displayed this cool arrangement of pendants as a kitchen lighting scheme for a dining table. The mix of long wood spindles, combined with the modern clear, exposed bulb fixtures, creates a fixture that is also a conversation piece.Concrete is still a design darling, especially when it’s used to create kitchen pendant lighting like these cube-shaped fixtures shown by Arrex. Industrial and chic, they’ll work in just about any modern or contemporary kitchen.Another kitchen by Arrex was as pink and pretty as a pastry, featuring these drum-shaped kitchen pendant lights. The lattice detail at the bottom of the shade keeps the style light and appropriate for the happy space. Here’s a closer look at these neutral-colored kitchen island lights. At the other end of the design spectrum are these shiny, modern drum lights, also exhibited by Arrex. Again used in a pair as kitchen island lighting, the pendants also would be appropriate over a dining table.Arrital made quite a statement by using these LED ring lights in a line to illuminate not only the dining table but also the kitchen island.Another modern fixture that Arrital presented was this one, used as kitchen island lighting. The minimalist tubes with bright end bulbs are not overwhelming but still catch the eye.Pink in the kitchen! Best Range Hoods displayed this ceiling-mounted kitchen light fixture that goes from dark to a bit dainty thanks to the pink interior. We just love these funky and colorful blown glass pendants. They could be used as kitchen island lighting or over a dining table.Cucine Lube’s large chandelier has a modern flame look that evokes a bit of a rustic feel. Used over a dining table in this setting, it could also serve as dramatic kitchen island lighting. The many smooth, curved tubes remind us of the animal antler-style lighting fixtures popular for woodsy hide-aways.This industrial style spotlight design was popular for kitchen island lighting in many brand exhibits. The gray metallic tone of this one shown by Cucine Lube makes it a versatile, neutral fixture.Team7 also showed a trio of industrial style spotlights over their kitchen island. The kitchen island lighting in Doimo’s elegant kitchen setting is definitely the focal point of the room. The delicate ball of lights looks like a dandelion gone to seed. Here’s a closer look at these spectacular lighting fixtures, with hundred of little lights.Doimo Cucine also displayed this clear glass grouping for kitchen island lighting.Large modern domes with a metallic interior served as pendant lighting for the Electrolux demonstration kitchen display. A single pendant would also be nice over a dining area. This bar light fixture on an Ar-Tre display is some serious kitchen island lighting. It provides good task illumination from underneath the shelf, eliminating the need for another hanging element.Similarly, Franke displayed a bar-style kitchen island light fixture, but in this case, it also serves as a modern design element.Rough, uneven and raw, these kitchen pendant lights in the Snaidero exhibit lend a natural feel to a modern space.Ilve showed this set of mixed shape pendants as a kitchen island lighting element. They look a lot like honeycomb paper lanterns and the varying shapes add interest.A closer look reveals the accordion folds of these pendant fixtures. For a more natural look, Ilve incorporated this kitchen pendant light fixture made of concentric circles of wooden bands.Often, we’d look at a kitchen lighting fixture — like this one from Nobilia — and realize there’s more to it than meets the eye. Many brands were showing kitchen range hoods with built-in lighting, which makes them look more like a lighting fixture than a vent!Similarly, jdias used a pair of these gold range hoods as kitchen island lighting.jdias also displayed these cool, minimalist light bars. The set of two bars provides ample kitchen lighting.Another minimalist kitchen lighting fixture with a big impact is this small black pendant that was in the Leicht booth. When hung in multiples in a linear fashion, these small spots provide enough light to function as kitchen island lighting. We were really drawn to these felt fixtures that Leicht used as kitchen island lighting. The unexpected material adds another textural element to the kitchen’s design.Layers of honeycomb-shaped material give these kitchen pendant lights an otherworldly glow. The fixtures were featured in the Leicht booth.Leicht’s use of these slatted kitchen lighting fixtures gives a warm look to the stone kitchen island. The slatted pendant lighting fixture adds another element of texture to an otherwise smooth and contemporary kitchen design.Simple trumpet-shaped pendant lighting fixtures hung at staggered heights are perfect for a kitchen with a modern design. These were displayed in the Leicht stand over a kitchen table.A retro style kitchen like this one by Marchi is the perfect place for clear glass globe pendants in varying sizes. Kitchen pendant lighting like this is versatile, thanks to the glass and minimalist style.Kitchen pendant lighting fixtures with a ship light flair are versatile elements that will work with many decor styles. As the Marchi display shows, they are modern with a touch of tradition.Never has a mismatched set looked so good! This trio of kitchen pendant lighting in the Moon exhibit includes two basic pendants with a different center fixture. The middle one also sports an interesting bulb design.Like an onion dome, this kitchen pendant light fixture gives a pop of style to Moon’s neutral and basic kitchen design.Nobilia displayed a kitchen design with natural wood elements, the perfect backdrop for this marvelous pendant lighting fixture. Large and dramatic, with a bit of mystery, it’s very appealing.Snaidero’s Icone kitchen had the perfect island lighting fixture for traditionalists: A spectacular chandelier with twinkling crystals and dainty little lampshades.Porcelanosa’s kitchen display included this mod kitchen light fixture. The round glass barbell-like bulbs on the horizontal arms look like a tower of bubbles. Fun and modern!Every kitchen design can use a pop of color and that’s what you get with these funnel-shaped kitchen pendant lighting fixtures. Rational Kitchen showed these as part of a modern kitchen decor. This tubular kitchen lighting from Rational Kitchen is definitely modern. The floating fixture has no obviously visible supports, which gives it an ethereal feel.Rifra’s large chandelier is a dramatic kitchen lighting option. While it may have a traditional chandelier shape, the design is decidedly modern.A small kitchen pendant lighting fixture becomes a dramatic design element in the hands of the Sanwa Company. Using the space to highlight the small kitchen island is a unique way to elevate the design.Simple metal rods with bulbed ends come together in a modern and moody kitchen lighting fixture. The fixture is versatile and works well in Scavolini’s contemporary setting.Kitchen pendant lights that look like they’re made of crumpled paper are perfect over the table in this Scavolini kitchen.Multiples of one simple stick light make for a dramatic display in the Scavolini booth. We can see a similar arrangement serving as kitchen island lighting.Sometimes you want your kitchen lighting fixtures to blend in and not be a focal point. These white pendants in a Scavolini kitchen are a wonderful size and work well in the monochromatic design.Snaidero showed this kitchen pendant light that has a hand-hewn feel. These beautiful assorted pendant lighting fixtures are made from humble corrugated cardboard. Stenninger displayed this collection as kitchen island lighting. They are a perfect neutral element for almost any kitchen design.A veritable army of glass pendants serves as kitchen island lighting in this setting by Team7.
